Will Corrente – Fear is nothing more than a lack of faith in yourself to overcome the obstacle, circumstance, or challenge in your path. It is that flicker of doubt in your mind that grows into a flame, that you do not have the ability to “do it”. Whatever, “IT” is. In 2002, I faced a couple of my “IT’s”; the fear of the unknown and the fear of going it alone in a new and unfamiliar place.  Read the whole story at…

It seems everyday, there is a new prefix being added to the term entrepreneur- so far over the past few months i have heard of the following: spiritual entrepreneur, conscious entrepreneur, intra preneur

Here are my definitions for each which may or may not differ from the most widely accepted definitions

spiritual entrepreneur- an individual whose spiritual guidance has lead them to start a business

conscious entrepreneur- an individual who is starting  a business because of a deep conviction, belief, or set of values that they wiish to be the guiding principle or objective for the success of their business

intrapreneur- an individual working for a company who wishes to apply entrepreneurial thinking, passion and execution to the products or services offered by the company in which they are employed

I am sure there will be even more in the coming years!

A great short article on some programs and assistance for young entrepreneurs

One of the great things about being an entrepreneur in the 21st century is there’s no age barrier. The days when you were pretty much required to slog away in middle management in corporate America for decades before banks considered you mature enough to take out a loan and strike out on your own are so gone… read full article

In the entrepreneurship world, everyone is paid in two coins: cash and experience. Take the experience first; the cash will come later – Harold Geneen

I think this is great advice for young entrepreneurs. Life is a learning process, some businesses are successful from the go others provide the tools we need for personal development or in our case entrepreneur development. Use every experience as a learning experience and the cash or the reward is sure to follow!

You have long heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.  It gives your body the necessary fuel to get your day started and keep you going.  Just like our bodies, our mind needs a mental breakfast every morning as well.

What are your goals for your life today?  I’m not talking about tasks that need to be accomplished.  Instead, I am talking about how you want to live your life this day.  Is today going to be a day of peace, expectancy, joy and prosperity?  Or is today going to be another rushing world wind lacking direction and focus?

Every morning, I give myself a mental breakfast. I repeat a few affirmations to myself about what I expect my day to be like and how I intend to live it.  I set the tone for myself that regardless what this day brings, regardless of what I accomplish, regardless of what victories or defeats.  I start this day expecting the best.

To give you an example, here is one of my daily affirmations is ” today is a great day, I am on the path of greatness, I look forward to using today to positively impact my life and the lives of those around me”.

Another effective method I have found is to ask myself open ended questions.  In one of Tony Robbins books, he explains the key to a better attitude is to ask ourselves better questions.  A great daily affirmation question I ask myself each morning is “what can I do today to fill my life with peace, joy and prosperity?”.  I do not try and answer it, instead I let my subconscious mind mull it over through out the day.

Start your day with a mental breakfast and see what a difference it can make in the success of your day.

Here are some success stories to keep in mind during those times in life when things seem a little impossible:

Dr. Seuss’s first children’s book was rejected by 23 publishers

Michael Jordan was cut by his high school basketball team

Henry Ford went broke 5 times before he succeeded

The University of Bern rejected Albert Einstein’s Ph.D. dissertation

Often times the road ahead is paved with gold, we just can’t see it under all of the bumps. Stay on the road, stay focused and keep pushing ahead, success may be just around the corner.
